Born the
second of four children to Mr. & Mrs. Alphonse Arnone
Jr., in New Orleans, Louisiana. Raised in New Orleans in
St. Andrew the Apostle Parish. Graduated from O. Perry
Walker High School in 1985. Worked at the New Orleans
Hilton Hotel from 1984 - 1989 in Human Resources. From
1989 - 1991 worked for First Commerce Corporation in
Employee Compensation.
Accepted
as a seminarian by the Archdiocese of New Orleans in 1991
and began formation at St. Joseph Seminary College, St.
Benedict, Louisiana. In May, 1995, received a B.A. in
Liberal Arts. In August, 1995, entered Notre Dame School
of Theology in New Orleans where I earned a Master of
Divinity in May, 1999.
Ordained
May 29, 1999 by Archbishop Schulte, my first assignment
was as Parochial Vicar at St. Cletus, Gretna; followed by
St. Benilde, Metairie. In May 2002, I was appointed Pastor
of Holy Name of Mary, Algiers Point for 4 years. In July
2007 was transferred to St. Stephen’s on Napoleon
Avenue. Necessitated by the implementation of the
Archdiocesan Pastoral Plan, Archbishop Hughes appointed me
Pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes and St. Bernard Catholic
Churches as effective November 1, 2009.
Serve as
a Master of Ceremonies for the Archdiocese, a member of
the Knights of Colombus, Knights of the Holy Seplechure,
Diocesan Spiritual Director for Teens Encounter Christ
(TEC) Retreats, St. Joseph Seminary College Alumni
President and former Board of Regents member of Our
Lady of Holy Cross College.
