Hurricane Ida Updates
(Update 9/21)
- There is a clean up crew, from ATI, working in the Parish Community Center to do a deep clean for the building. During this process the office is moved to the Church. We’ll have regular office hours, but all business will be conducted in the foyer of the Church until further notice.

- Power is back at the Church and at the Parish Hall.
- We’ll return to the normal Mass schedule on Saturday, September 11. Next Saturday we’ll have 4 pm Mass and Sunday We’ll have both 9 and 11 am Masses.

- The rectory got power last night, but the Church and Parish Hall are still in the dark.
- The Handicapped Parking signs that had been blown over have been put back up.
- The dumpster paddock gate has been fixed.
- The sliding gate at the property entrance on the Judge zperez side has been put back on the track.

- Parish School of Religion will be postponed until September 28.
- Family Catechesis will have their first meeting on October 6.
- The first meeting for Confirmation Prep will be pushed back one week to September 19, 6:30 pm.
- RCIA will have their first meeting on Thursday, September 30, at 7:00 pm.
- Damage Report:
1. The Church had a leak, probably from the stained glass windows over the altar, which left large wet patches on the carpet in front of the tabernacle and to the Mary side of the altar.
2. The white plastic fence around the Church A/C Condensers was blown apart. Most of the pieces were able to be reinstalled easily, but two caps and one of the posts were cracked.
3. There was one wet drop ceiling tile in the main hall of the Parish Community Center, near one of the A/C vents.
4. The roof of the rectory lost about a dozen shingles, mostly where the roof meets the front porch.
5. The sheet metal roof of the rectory front porch was pulled up on one corner and the sheet partially ripped.
6. The gate to the dumpster paddock was forced open, damaging the doors of the gate and the latch.
7. The sliding gates at the Judge Perez and Colonial Blvd. entrances to the property were forced off of the tracks.

- Our Food Pantry is fully stocked. Anyone who needs non-perishable food should come by the office between 9 and 11 AM Wednesday, Sept 1, through Friday, Sept 3. Bring a box or other container if possible. WE DO NOT HAVE BOTTLED WATER!
- We’ll have Mass Tuesday, August 31, at 6 pm.
- Mass Wednesday, Sept 1, through Friday, Sept 3, will be at 8 AM.

- The grounds and buildings at OLOL sustained only minor damage. We have a few limbs down, a fence down, some minor roof damage to the rectory, and a little water in the Church (already cleaned up).
- We’ll have Mass Tuesday, Aug 31, at 6 PM, but the Church has no power, A/C, or lights.

- The Sunday 11 AM Mass for Aug 29 is cancelled, since the expected time of landfall was moved up by the National Weather Service. We will still have Saturday 4 PM and Sunday 9 AM Masses.
- The Archbishop is dispensing everyone from attending Sunday Mass for August 28-29 due to weather or evacuation. If you feel it is unsafe to attend Mass, then please stay home.
- Monday, August 30, Morning Mass is cancelled.
- Monday, August 30, the office will be closed.
